Mike Thompson is a 4-time cancer survivor who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) at the age of 10. After undergoing 2 bone marrow transplants, 75 surgeries including facial reconstruction, he developed an addiction to opioids. With support from family and friends and a tremendous amount of will power, Mike not only beat cancer and addiction, but he also clawed his way back to being a competitive athlete with highlights like completing the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii and successfully summitting Mount Kilimanjaro.
