Description

Mark Snowden highlights that members of the Cincinnati Area Baptist Association (CABA) make up only 2.6% of all evangelicals in the Cincinnati area, as defined by the Association of Religion Data Archives. He acknowledges a tendency to focus on Southern Baptists, recognizing it as a bias and calling for broader collaboration within the Christian community.

Snowden emphasizes the importance of networking with other Christian groups to advance the gospel, not as an act of ecumenicism but for effective mission work. He introduces a five-level Networking Guide:

  1. Initial Access: Engage with gatekeepers of different faiths to access lost people.
  2. Intercession: Encourage prayer and meeting needs through collaboration, regardless of denomination.
  3. Sowing the Gospel: Train born-again evangelists to spread the gospel and distribute scripture.
  4. Involving Partner Churches: Collaborate closely with churches and missionaries for church planting.
  5. Maintaining Doctrinal Integrity: Ensure leaders and pastors uphold doctrinal integrity aligned with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.

Snowden urges CABA and other churches to adopt this guide to enhance their outreach and contribution to the greater body of Christ. He calls for continued dedication to missionary work, leveraging their unique position within the broader evangelical community.
