Retired Flying Tinkerbell Gina Rock .is the longest tenured Disneyland cast member to fly nightly over the Happiest Place on Earth. For 21 years, she ushered in the nightly fireworks with a wave of her wand while soaring 165 feet above the amusement park.
She became Tinkerbell on May 31, 1983 and retired on March 28, 2005 at the age of 50.
But that;s not the whole story. In addition to her career as the tiny fairy, Rock also had a very interesting life away from the pixie dust.
Circus performer, talent agent, Disaster Housing Inspector for Parsons Brinckerhoff/WSP/Alltech.Engineering, personal training educator, circus director and other careers filled her days.
