Sallyanne Monti is an award-winning author, editor, and storyteller. Her fiction and non-fiction short stories, poems, and articles have appeared in numerous LGBTQ, lesbian and mainstream anthologies, magazines, and newspapers.
Her nonfiction book, Light at the End of the Tunnel, A Memoir (Queer Stuff Press 2018) won The 2019 Imadjinn Award for Best Nonfiction Book, was a finalist in the International Book Awards, and received an Honorable Mention from The Rainbow Awards, and is available in ebook, paperback, and hardcover.
She is the co-editor of the two-volume fan fiction anthology series Fandom to Fantasy Vols. 1,(Sapphire Books 2018). Her short story, The G Spot, is included in the award-winning anthology Our Happy Hours: LGBT Voices from the Gay Bars (Flashpoint Publications 2017) S. Renée Bess and Lee Lynch, Story Collectors.
She is the editor and a contributing author for the short story anthology trilogy A Heart Well Traveled (Vol. 1, 2, 3): International Love Affairs and Unlikely Outcomes, Tales of Erotica, Fantasy and Sci-Fi Love Affairs, Tales of Long Distance Love Affairs and Unlikely Outcomes (Sapphire Books Publishing 2017).
Her short story, Happy Apples, is included in the anthology The One: Stories of Falling in Love Forever (Sapphire Books Publishing 2016).
As a retired trainer, grant writer, and business consultant, Monti gives back to the community by creating dynamic partnerships with prominent LGBT leaders and organizations and lending her expertise freely and frequently.
In 1978 Monti began a financial career on Wall Street in NYC that morphed into a multitude of defining moments, including a move to California in 1996 and running her own consulting firm for two decades.
Monti and her wife Mickey have four adult children, three sons-in-law, three grandchildren, and one Costa Rican rescue dog named Sola. They live in Palm Springs, California and, Sedona, Arizona, where they hike the mountains and the Red Rocks every chance they get.
