Suzanne Munson is a lover of history and author of books about America’s Founding Fathers. She has just published The Metaphysical Thomas Jefferson and previously wrote a biography about Jefferson’s mentor, George Wythe, titled Jefferson’s Godfather: The Man Behind the Man. She lectures on the legacy of these two founding fathers at the college level and at various other venues.
Following a career in corporate and non-profit communications, she turned her attention to writing and teaching. Her interest in history began as a child, hearing of the trials of her ancestors in 17th century Jamestown-area settlements and the exploits of her pioneer forebears a century later on Virginia’s westernmost frontier.
In putting together The Metaphysical Thomas Jefferson, Munson worked with Medium Jana Anna who acted as the conduit between Munson and the spirit of Jefferson. In eight hours of recorded sessions, Munson asked pointed questions and took notes. She also transcribed the recordings. Munson asked about current events, other founding fathers, what Jefferson feels current politicians should do to get things back on track, and much more.
“Some of the concepts that she (Anna) was attempting to translate from the Jefferson entity surprised both of us,” Munson said. “Neither of us could possibly have conceived of the unusual insights that came through in each reading.”
