Rachel Chu, a beautiful and smart Chinese-American Professor of Economics, is in L-O-V-E with Nick Young, an expat from Singapore who uses her Netflix password and works out at the YMCA. When Nick invites her to travel with him to meet his family for the first time, she’s surprised to discover that they are among the richest in Singapore. Rachel is determined to win Nick’s family over, but will she ever really fit into his world?
A 2018 American romantic comedy film directed by Jon M. Chu, from a screenplay by Peter Chiarelli and Adele Lim, based on the 2013 novel of the same title by Kevin Kwan. It follows a Chinese-American professor who travels to meet her boyfriend's family and is surprised to discover they are among the richest in Singapore.
