Description

The following episode is a conversation with Dr. Mahan Mirza on ‘Division and Dialogue Between Religions' recorded on Zoom (May 9, 2021). Dr. Mirza is the Executive Director of the Ansari Institute for Global Engagement with Religion at the University of Notre Dame.

This conversation was part of a six-week adult education series in Spring of 2021 titled ‘From Division to Dialogue: Working Towards Life Together.’ In this series, we discussed what divisions we see in our communities, from faith to politics to race, and the barriers to life together that have resulted. We asked - What is at the root of these divisions? Given our divisions, how do we approach dialogue? Are there any current examples of dialogue that can serve as a model for addressing these divisions? And, finally, what is the end/purpose of dialogue?

We hope you enjoy the following conversation with Dr. Mirza - thanks for listening!
