In the fifth and sixth seals, John sees some martyrs by a heavenly altar asking God how long it will be until he avenges their deaths. God’s answer is insightful. Next, John sees the final cosmic events taking place that seem to be bringing the history of the earth to its end. As this is happening, he sees many who are hiding from the wrath that God is pouring out upon the earth. In these two seals, we see both warning and judgement along with God’s grace and victory.
