Through 1 Samuel 7:2-17, Eric explains to us what repentance really means. In this passage, the Israelites successfully defeating the Philistines in battle, only after having turned back towards God and repenting of their error. Eric points out that there are several key steps to repentance in this passage that are relevant to us and our relationship with God today: Instead of merely turning from sin (step one), we must actively turn towards God (step two), and then remind ourselves of our repentance (step three).
