NB it says Readout #305 at the beginning but it's not, it's #304 John Robson comments on key items from the latest Climate Discussion Nexus weekly "Wednesday Wakeup" newsletter (https://climatediscussionnexus.com/newsletter/), starting with deliberately baffling power pricing from Ontario to New England that lets politicians preach "affordability" while their alternative energy drives up the cost of living, moving on to the climate zealots clinging to RCP8.5 as it goes down, the sudden trendiness of geothermal, "simple physics" nonsense and Prof. Qing-Bin Lu's testable theories about GHGs, and wrapping up by wrapping up our #DOEDeepDive into last summer's "red team" climate report from the U.S. Department of Energy by looking at the trivial impact of US emissions reductions, evidence that despite what "Everybody Knows" extreme temperatures in the US are becoming less common not more, and from the CO2Science.org archive evidence that Broomrape, aka Lesser Broomrape or even worse Hellroot, which evidently is very nasty, for some reason doesn't seem to benefit from more CO2. Maybe try sulphur?
