Despite the challenging weather, we're doing our best to stay positive. We’re currently in a secure, concrete building in Orlando—far from the coast, but still feeling the storm's effects. As we navigate this, safety is our top priority, and we’ve stocked up on supplies, food, and even a camp stove (thanks to Chuck!). We also discuss our hurricane experience, with insights about local evacuations, the challenges of traveling during storms, and how friends have found refuge with us. But it’s not all serious! We’ve found ways to keep the mood light, sharing laughs about our recent visit to Medieval Times, where the kids got a little too excited with toy swords and shields. Sir Houston even got knighted—so naturally, he’s now going by "King Houston!" We also have some delicious Gideon's cookies on hand, featuring flavors like Bride of Frankenstein and classic chocolate chip.
