Leo also has business ventures in real estate and logistics, but consistently works where his heart lies: in creating and writing.Leo talks to us about his struggles growing up with a single mother in Chicago’s south side, the emotional impact of joining a gang at the age of 13, serving 15 years in prison and the impact that the legal system plays in perpetuating violence in Chicago.
We learn that his prison time played a HUGE role in building his passion not only for writing, but writing for the CULTURE. “No matter how successful I am at anything else, writing and creating are my best passions. It’s cathartic.”
