I am here to support the development of your soul’s innate knowing as you journey on the path to uncovering your own potential.

On today’s episode, I get to talk with a world-renowned yoga teacher + one of my current teachers who I’ve been studying kundalini kriya & meditation from, Kia Miller.

Our conversation will help you to better understand the practice of kundalini, how kriya practice works, what makes kundalini unique from others practices, the 10 bodies in kundalini yoga, and how yoga somatically influences our mind and body.

Kia was born and raised in the Falkland Islands, off the South East tip of Argentina where she lived on a farm, spending hours a day riding horses over vast acres of land. When she was 13 this tranquil life was interrupted by the Falklands Conflict. She experienced first-hand the tragedy and horror of war. This experience shaped her desire to live peacefully, to nurture kindness, and to support deeper connection on all levels.

In her desire to make a better world she became an activist when she moved to England. A pivotal moment came when she realized that in orde to create outer change we have to first change within.

Kia first discovered yoga at 15, however in her late teens, early 20’s she took her practice to the next level and learned how to connect versus dissociate, and to use her breath to calm her mind. She quickly recognized that she felt better, had more energy and less anxiety when she practiced. She traveled the world at the time as a successful model and filmmaker. Yoga was her way to stay centered and nourished.

In the mid 90’s she arrived in LA and felt the wave of enthusiasm in the yoga world. She dove in wholeheartedly. She found Kundalini practices that rocked her world and awakened a new level of power and presence.

Kia has studied with master teachers in the United States and India and dedicated herself to the practice and living the 8-Limbed path of yoga. She practiced every moment she could and soon began teaching.
