Steve brings on David Rosen from Piecing It Together and Bird Road podcasts to discuss The Empty Man, a horror comic by Collin Bunn and Vanessa Del Rey. David shares his thoughts on reading his first comic in years, exploring how the book's noir and horror elements compare to influences like Seven, John Carpenter, and The Shining. They discuss the challenges of reading comics as an extended medium, the differences between superhero and creator-owned comics, and whether this experience might lead David to pick up more comics in the future.
