Trigger warning: child abuse and sexual assault are discussed but not described in this episode.
Interview with Jeannie Mecorney, an artist, cartoonist, memoirist and Gabbie’s mom. Jeannie chats with us about life after retirement and finally owning the blank page to work that brings her joy and the ability to reflect on her mentals. She is working on her most personal work a graphic memoir about growing up with a father diagnosed with schizophrenia. Also outside of being mom to Gabbie and Miriam, she is most known for her sharp, witty and funny single panel cartoon, Chicken Scratch.
