In this week’s episode, John and Bryan sit down with Owner of Orlando Branding Agency, Aaron Ludin, to discuss the importance of social media and effective tactics that LO, Real Estate Agents, and other industry professionals can use to build successful relationships and, in turn, grow their business.

A self-proclaimed “connector of people”, Aaron uses the power of social media to connect with and distribute valuable information for anyone in the industry. And to him, this is how you build trust in your professional relationships.

Aaron begins by talking about how just 8 years ago, many industry professionals didn’t see the value in social media. And now – it is one of the most valuable tools we have. Allowing professionals to amplify their network through their connections – and their connections’ connections – they can maintain even more relationships than ever before.

John asks, why should industry professionals put so much energy into building their social media presence. To which Aaron responses by stating that, mathematically speaking, it simply widens your reach, expands your market, and therefore increases your leads. By putting effort into your digital presence, you remain at the top of mind for your clients. They are bound to think of you first.

Aaron goes on to discuss the importance of creating an “attractive character” as your digital persona. You can do this by asking yourself, “What do people see when they visit my page?”, “What do I want them to see?” And “How congruent can that be with who you really are?”

He stresses the importance of building a persona that is genuine and in line with your real-life personality. Build the person that people want to learn from, and then genuinely be that person.

He continues to share that you can do this in many ways. The first is to use your actual photo in your social media profile. This builds trust, credibility and familiarity between you and your audience. Secondly, you need to show up every day and provide content that is relevant and valuable. And third, post specific content at certain times of day. He shares that, motivational posts do well in the morning, while posts to sell do better at night.

Lastly, Aaron talks about the importance of engaging with your audience through (1) weight (2) affinity and (3) timing of your posts.
