In this week’s episode, John and Bryan sit down with Brad DeMint, Account Executive of GreenLeaf Title Company, and host of his own podcast show titled, HOW TO WIN with Brad DeMint. Brad shares his advice on how to effectively develop meaningful business relationships and shares tips on how to successfully build your own personal brand.
After starting his career in sales at a young age, Brad quickly realized that the key to success, is in relationship building. This means networking – both online and in real life.
Brad discusses the importance of showing up both digitally and in person and providing value for those who you want to connect with.
How do you provide value? By finding out more about yourself, what makes you different, what you are good at – and then sharing your gift with others. By getting in touch with your authentic self and then showing people what you have to offer, you have already found your niche – and from there – the possibilities are endless.
Bryan adds that, in addition to recognizing your authenticity and personal value, it is important to create goals and develop a feasible plan to work towards them. He shares that by developing a growth plan each year, he has created a step-by-step plan to work towards his goals and has seen much success. This plan may look different for everyone, but it is what sets the stage for business success.
Brad goes on to share a few of his philosophies that have helped him navigate an industry where many of his colleagues have considerably more years of experience than him.
These philosophies are: 1) Always be learning 2) Don’t be afraid to fail 3) Reward yourself, and most importantly 3) Take action. Whether that is by consistently posting to your social media platforms, engaging with other industry professionals or potential clients digitally, or going out into the field and shaking as many hands as possible – taking action is how you realize your goals and find – both professional and personal success.
Lastly, the men all agree that what may have worked in the past for relationship building, has certainly changed, and in order to find business success we must find effectively ways to show up both digitally and in real life.
