You didn’t have a large traumatic event that would contribute to the feelings you carry. You are a perceptive child and you have feelings of not fitting in most of your young life. Leslie was that child. Even though she came from a loving family, who had no addictive predecessors in their family history, Leslie struggled with identity issues, popularity issues, body and eating disorder issues and in her 30s alcohol. Alcohol being the worst, taking hold and gripping on to her life until she was able to escape its clutches. Leslie turned that addiction into a platform to educate , bringing awareness and stopping the stigmas attached to having a past struggle.
