In the late 1990s, Toni Sarrion embarked on a solitary mission to rescue the indigenous Bobal grape variety from obscurity and elevate it to the pinnacle of world-class wines. Continuously evolving and relentlessly striving for excellence, Mustiguillo has transitioned from the use of overt American oak, which was prevalent in earlier vintages, to the refined combination of concrete and French oak. This shift has allowed them to create wines that embody finesse and balance, fully realizing the remarkable potential of Bobal from the unique terroir of El Terrerazo.
The exceptional efforts of Mustiguillo have not gone unnoticed, as they were duly recognized by Wine & Spirits as one of the Top 100 Wineries of 2012. This accolade serves as a testament to their unwavering dedication and unwavering commitment to producing exceptional wines that captivate the senses and leave a lasting impression.
