Chicopee, Massachusetts — on August 26, 2011, 20-year-old Amanda Plass, a beloved waitress and friend to many, was found brutally stabbed inside her apartment. At first, suspicion fell on her boyfriend and ex, but neither fit the evidence. With few leads and mounting pressure, detectives feared the case might go cold until a tiny clue on a whiteboard and DNA under Amanda’s fingernails led them to the truth.
