After learning traditional finger waves and sets in his grandmother’s kitchen, Adam went on to win a coveted place on the hair industry’s F.A.M.E. Team in 1999, enjoyed a 13 year tenure at Charles Worthington – eight of those as Creative Director – and a 2 year stint in New York establishing the Worthington brand. All this set Adam Reed in good stead for launching a new salon brand Percy & Reed, before going it alone in 2020 with Adam Reed London - a curated hair and lifestyle space, before creating his own award-winning haircare range Arkive headcare in 2021.

Adam draws his influences from a wide and diverse range of sources. Urban cultures, typography, fashion history - the way the light plays on buildings. Endlessly curious about life and living, with every day bringing a flurry of inspiration, Adam’s solid skills and stellar industry upbringing at his core make him a true all-rounder, cutting, colour, styling, men’s, session work, educating, curating – you name it, he can do it and he’s very likely done it. A lot.

Adam’s dedication to hair, and his obsession with the kit that goes into creating it has not gone unnoticed. As Editorial Ambassador for L’Oreal Professionnel he shares a long standing relationship with this powerhouse. Beyond L’Oreal, he is also Global Ambassador for GHD.
