Confidence in God
If we want to be delivered, from every inward and outward foe, we must look to a higher source than ourselves. We cannot do it in our own strength. there is no danger of being disappointed in the LORD.
Psalms 91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
The fear of God gives strong confidence
Proverbs 14:26 In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
Through humility there is Strong confidence
Isaiah 25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
Through faith in God
Psalms 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Through claiming God‘s promises
2 Peter 1:2-7 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
