1 Corinthians 16:1-4
Here the apostle Paul is preparing the churches to take up an offering for the suffering saints in Jerusalem
James 2:15-16
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Given financially to people in need is showing the compassion and love of Jesus. Paul the apostle was responsible for getting this offering to these poor saints in Jerusalem. I think the best way to give is through the church of God under God‘s leadership and authority. You know your offering will not be wasted.
