Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you today that you are always with us. I thank you for putting your loving arms around me in the form of my co-workers yesterday. Lord, I am so thankful that your angels kept me safe in my fall down about 8 stairs at work. Thank you for the quick response from my work family. I am thankful I only suffered minor injuries. I remember as I was on my way down saying, "Oh Lord". I know that you hear us even when we don't have the words to say. The moral of yesterday's story is this. Make sure you take your time down the stairs; and hold on to the handrail. That is what it is there for.
I also want to thank my husband for being so kind, patient, and calm during my trip to triage. There could have been a different outcome. I am living and walking proof that the Lord is with us. As I began to fall I closed my eyes; and felt my body rapidly bump down the stairs; and then when I landed at the end; I bumped my head. I didn't pass out and I didn't break any bones. I definitely was more humbled yesterday. I share this with you; not to alarm you. But to let you know how fast your life can pass before your eyes.
