Two years ago, I drove to Nashville for one reason. That reason was a Father John Misty concert. That's it, just one guy who writes music that soothes my soul. This past spring, FJM released a new album with a track on it called "Ballad of the Dying Man." Its lyrics are synonymous with my thoughts and reflect my exact perspective on what's essential in all of life. The dying man's ballad is filled with regrets about his decisions in life and is now asking the Lord for just a bit more time.
