Description

Juan Eduardo Naula has inspired Los Angeles residents to clean up their city. He moved to Los Angeles from Virginia about 14 months ago and quickly fell in love with the city, despite being shocked by the widespread trash. He began picking up litter himself, documenting his efforts in videos that went viral on social media. This led to the creation of his nonprofit movement, Clean LA With Me (@cleanlawithme), and the hashtag #CleanLAwithMe. He now organizes regular community cleanups with volunteers, mobilizing hundreds to join his mission of restoring pride and cleanliness to LA's streets, parks, and neighborhoods. Juan joined us to share his inspiring journey, along with his frustrations over the city's slow response times and lack of efficiency in sanitation services—issues that often leave bagged trash sitting for days or weeks despite repeated reports.
