Paul describes Jesus' humiliation in Philippians 2:5-8 - that is, his coming down from heaven's throne to the shame and agony of the cross. But having finished his work there, Christ was raised back up! He is in the highest and most exalted position: King of kings and Lord of lords! This truth should motivate our worship as well as our witness.
