Suffering and trials are common to all people, it is a part of life, especially as Christians! As we begin a study in 1 Peter we learn how to endure suffering, not escape it. In the first 12 verses of chapter 1, Peter instructs us to take our eyes off the suffering and focus on something greater, the salvation we have in Jesus Christ.
