Grab a snack and kick back, because we’re diving into some cosmic wisdom that’s as chilling as a midnight breeze and way more insightful than your average late-night scroll. We’re looking at Session 290 from The Early Sessions Book 7 of the Seth Material, recorded on the night of October 3, 1966.

The Dreamy Reptile Report

Seth kicked things off by weighing in on a New York Times article about animal dreams. Apparently, if you’re dreaming of lizards, it’s not because you’re "immature." It’s just your cells talking. Seth explains:

• "Maturity has nothing to do with the meaning of the reptiles and mammals mentioned as dream images. There is generic imprint stamped within the cells, and at various levels of cell consciousness."
• Society plays a funny role here: women apparently repress reptile dreams because of cultural fears, while men ignore mammal dreams because they don't want to be reminded of "female reproductive advantages."
• Basically, your cells have their own vibe that exists way before (and after) your ego decides to show up.

Cells, Blueprints, and Time-Traveling Dreams

Seth gets deep into "cellular consciousness," which is basically your body’s internal hard drive that ignores the clock. While your ego is busy being a narrow-minded filter, your cells are living in the "spacious present."

• "Because of the spacious present however, cellular consciousness also contains blueprints of the future."
• Your ego is a bit of a killjoy; it censors dreams about the future because it can't handle time that isn't "physical" yet.
• Seth notes that "the past itself is constantly changed as your own attitude toward it changes," meaning your history is as much of a work-in-progress as your future.

The 72nd Envelope Experiment: Psychic Mail Call

Joseph (Rob) handed Jane an empty envelope for a blind reading. The results were a mix of "wait, what?" and "how did he know that?" The object was an envelope from Wendell Crowley, an old artist friend in the lumber business. Seth’s impressions included:

• The "Vertical" Vibe: Seth saw things standing vertically, which turned out to be a nod to Wendell’s lumber company (trees, get it?).
• The Comic Connection: Seth spelled out "M-i-s-s-i-n-c," which he later clarified was a distortion of "i-n-k"—referring to "inking comic strips," which was Rob’s job back in the day when he worked with Wendell.
• The February Frost: Seth correctly identified a connection to a February event. It turns out the envelope was a response to a letter Rob wrote during a massive February snowstorm.
• Travel Troubles: Seth picked up on "a string of lights" and "a curved corridor or tunnel." This likely referred to Wendell’s commute from New Jersey to New York via the Lincoln or Holland Tunnel.
