All too often we’re told – and believe – we need to release, get rid of, exorcise, some habit or trait or negative emotion. Yuck! I really don't do all that. And doing it never works long-term, it's a bit like going on a slimming diet, cutting out anything that will make you fat. Then, when you fit back in your jeans you promptly head back for a latte with a Danish pastry, cupcake, jam tart, or whatever and put all the weight back on! Befriending, on the other hand, brings you to a whole new, creative and productive relationship with your Dark Side!
