In Ireland he says they have much more help for people suffering from gambling addiction because it has been more assessable through apps for much longer. He says here in Canada it's just beginning with the apps, and we need to adapt to this. We need to start talking about gambling addiction more so we can start helping those who are suffering from it. It's not just the gambler that is affected its their families to, if they lose everything so does there family. That's why this addiction is hidden until they do lose everything and many lives become ruined. It's so easy to fall into the trap and Gary wants to bring more awareness to this addiction. He wants to help people notice the signs of a problem gambler so that they can try to get them help before there family ends up in ruins. I commend him on speaking out on this subject because it is the silent addiction, that can really end badly for so many people.
