In 2013 Heather was at work when she got a phone call that would change her life forever. She was told to go to the hospital immediately where she was informed that her son, Steven, had drowned. News articles were written about her family's tragedy where people criticized her for not putting her son in ISR Lessons. She immediately started doing research and decided she would dedicate her career to being an ISR Instructor to prevent other families from going through the pain she endured with the death of her son.
