On this episode Jordan is joined by Massage Therapist and Somatic Coach, Katie Lipman. They will be sharing their experiences of soma and body work; and working with shame and trauma - is trauma informed enough?
Katie Lipman is a Registered Massage Therapist in Ontario Canada and a Somatic coach. She has worked in the field of personal growth and healing for over two decades supporting people one on one, in groups and through creative writing and speaking engagements.
Whether working with the physical body through Massage Therapy or supporting a client with their mental emotional state in a coaching space, Katie believes that each person has their unique way of processing their life experiences along with a powerful inner wisdom that knows exactly how to guide them forward. With this belief, Katie creates a safe, non judgmental, non shaming space for the journey to unfold intuitively and naturally for each person.
Katie works with people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, physical symptoms in the body, relationship struggles and difficult emotional states.
Katie wholeheartedly believes that no person ever needs “fixing” or “healing”, therefore her work is focused on learning together with the client, what their unique process is and what kind of life experience is wanting to be lived. This approach allows every emotion, symptom, belief and circumstance to become a beautiful ally for the blossoming of who we are meant to be in our own lives and in the world.
