In this episode Larry shares some personal stores about learning to pray and we talk about various things that we've learned.
In the church I grew up in, there were a lot of people there that taught me various things about the Lord. And one of the things that I learned was just about prayer. Because we were a praying church and I heard all kinds of people pray about all different kinds of things and subjects.
And I made all kinds of observations as I'm learning to talk to this God that I have met. Yeah. Okay. At seven years old. At seven years old. You know God bless my mama for every night that she took me in. Say your prayers. You know.
So I did. Read my Bible. Say my prayers.
So I'm starting this conversational relationship with this person that is spirit that is now in me. And what's that like? And they taught me enough to know that hey just be yourself. Talk to him. You're praying in Jesus name. Don't worry about fancy words or written prayers. Just talk.
So that's kind of where I got my start which was a real help. But there was one guy in particular in the church, an older man.
