Description

In this weeks episode, Han is joined by Steph Shott. Steph is the author of "Just Keep Swimming: A Story of Hope Against Anorexia". This harrowing story of dealing with anorexia and beating it is engrossing, disturbing and utterly inspirational.

In the episode, Steph and I discuss the development of her eating disorder, and the treatment she received. Steph was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, which meant that all of her face to face treatment went online. Together, we discuss the pros and cons of online treatment, and how she kept herself going with a more accountable recovery journey.

Additionally, we discuss Steph's relationship with exercise and how this was worsened by the pandemic. We discuss excessive exercise and the detrimental effects it can have on an individual, which we often don't speak about in society.
