In the wake of this Covid-19 Pandemic, we have lost our gigs. Us the entertainers, the musicians, the photographers, the writers, the performers, the artists, the creatives; the cultural founders of society. We have been postponed and canceled so we made a podcast to bring together our community. Showcasing creatives from the NJ, NY, NYC, CT, & PA areas. Explanation of Benefits is the musical answer to all your health insurance questions, exploring how the hell we got into this mess and how you can defend yourself in the wild, wild west that is health insurance. You’ll laugh at the apocalyptic absurdity of it all. You’ll cringe as you see history repeat itself. You won't be able to get the health insurance version of 'Bills, Bills, Bills' out of your head! You'll leave with a little more rage, and a little more hope. *EOB has had 3 sold-out workshop performances in New York City at Caveat in the lower east side. *EOB was also selected for Caveat's Incubator, in which we wrote a dedicated show about dentistry in the US. *The Creators of EOB were interviewed recently on the New York Times-acclaimed podcast, An Arm and a Leg (Season 3, Episode 3). Ironically, our momentum has been disrupted by COVID-19. Our Spring run of performances has been postponed, and our creators and collaborators are all experiencing a vast reduction of employment. We believe that our work - which seeks to explore the connection between healthcare, work, and health in the US - is more important and relevant than ever, but we also need support now more than ever.
