Strength for Today

“Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.” — Isaiah 26:4

Each morning brings a new invitation to trust God. Before the responsibilities begin, before the messages arrive, and before your thoughts race toward everything that needs to be done, pause and remember: you do not have to face this day in your own strength.

There may be situations you cannot resolve, questions you cannot answer, and burdens you cannot carry alone. Trusting the Lord does not mean pretending those challenges are small. It means placing them in the hands of One whose strength is greater than your own.

Notice the words “for ever.” Our trust is not reserved for the moments when life makes sense. We are invited to trust God through uncertainty, through waiting, and through the ordinary work of another day. When our energy fades or our confidence wavers, His everlasting strength remains.

Today, let trust become a simple practice. Before reacting, pray. Before rushing, pause. When worry returns, turn your attention back to the Lord. You may not know how every detail will unfold, but you can take your next step without demanding that you see the entire path.

Begin this morning with an honest surrender: “Lord, here is what concerns me. Help me do what is mine to do and entrust the rest to You.”

Today’s Reflection

What concern am I trying to carry alone, and what would it look like to entrust it to God today?

Morning Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for being my everlasting strength. As I begin this day, I place my concerns, responsibilities, and unanswered questions in Your hands. Help me trust You when I feel uncertain and lean on You when I feel weary. Give me wisdom for each decision, patience in the waiting, and courage to take the next faithful step. Let my words and actions reflect a heart resting in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Affirmation: I will meet this day trusting the Lord, not depending on my strength alone.
