With this special podcast, we honour the past and present First Peoples of this land, the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island. We are grateful for the distinct role and relationship that each of us has with the land, and our search to better understand our place within that history.
We also honour the residential school survivors and the children who did not return home. We understand the devastating history of residential schools that continues to have negative effects on Indigenous peoples and communities.
We are truly honoured to have Courtney tell her story. Her passion to create awareness, not just for the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, but understanding the Indigenous culture and traditions and ensuring these traditions continue with the new generation of youth.
