Hello angels. Today we're back with the largely anticipated new series on Max, 'The Idol'. We're are introduced to pop-star Jocelyn and her story of stardom - potentially the rise and fall as she meet Tedros, a slum-lord meets 80s disco pimp-esque character.
Sex, drugs, and rock & roll are on the docket of discussion in this pilot as well as: Sam Levinson's distinct cinematography and storytelling style (especially in relation to 'Euphoria'), what The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) brings to the table as a character, writer & producer, and how this enigmatic management cast gave (and will continue to give) the much-needed comedic relief for the rest of the season/series.
