The Apostle Paul is clear that many had made the answers to these questions far too complicated. Who will be acceptable to God? Who will God rescue from the darkness of this world? "Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!"

Paul says that the message is clear – that we must declare with our mouths and believe with our hearts that Jesus is Lord, raised from the dead.
- If someone asked you how they could get right with God, how might you answer? Has that answer changed over time, and if so, how did your understanding change?
- What does "declaring with your mouth" and "believing with your heart" look like in your life? Why is each of these important? Which is more challenging for you?
