On Palm Sunday, the crowds had greeted Jesus with chants of "Hosanna!" and "Blessed is he!", but now -- just a few days later -- they chant, "Crucify him!" What changed? Jesus didn't change. The fickly crowds had changed, just as our emotions so quickly change. God knows that we need a much firmer foundation.
