Building on his desire that his disciples would not lose their faith or their joy, Jesus reveals an even greater truth to them. He declares that after he returns, they will be able to ask the Father anything in Jesus' name, and the Father will hear them! There is a shocking revelation hidden in this promise, one that we will explore today!

Jesus shares his final teaching with his disciples.
- Jesus says that they may ask for anything "in his name" (vv. 23, 24, 26). How do you understand that limitation? What makes a prayer "in his name"?
- Jesus shows the disciples that he knows what they are thinking (v.30) and even how they will desert him (v.32). He demonstrates this knowledge so they will know that all their failures will never stop him from loving them (v.33). What do you learn about Jesus' love for you? How might you be inspired to love others in your life?
