In this weeks episode I am joined by the delightful Abigail Cook. Abbey and I became friends through a local gym class and I am so grateful to have her join me on this episode.
She opens up and talks us through her experience with postpartum anxiety and depression. A topic that is so so important and not spoken about enough. With around 14% of Australia women experiencing PND (1 in 7) it is more common than you may think.
We talk about how and where it started and what it looked like for her. With fear being a reoccurring theme, I just know there are many mothers (and fathers) out there who are going to resonate with her story. With so many things changing, pressure to do or be a certain type of 'mum' and the stress of keeping a new born healthy and alive it is no wonder many new parents have a difficult time. Listen in to hear why she feels that everyone going through this journey should have access to a therapist and what may have helped her looking back
There is something in here for everyone to walk away with.
