Spot the difference: Bishop, Pastor, and Shepherd
Trick question. There is no difference. Yet over the years, these titles that are often used interchangeably in the New Testament have come to mean different things in our modern culture. So what does that mean for our local churches today?
This week we take a break from our study through Genesis to study what the New Testament teaches us about leadership roles and responsibilities in the local church. We'll define what the Bible means when it uses words like bishop, pastor, elder, deacon, and servant; and we'll see what the responsibilities are of those who serve in the church and what our responsibility is to those who serve us in the church.
