Did God rest because He was tired?
God spoke and the heavens and the earth existed out of nothing. God formed the earth that was formless and void into a place that would be habitable to support life. God filled the skies with stars and planets and filled the earth with plants and animals. God breathed life into the first humans, who would bear His image in creation. And then when He saw that all this was very good, He rested.
This week we begin reading through Genesis 2 and learn about this seventh day which God blessed and declared holy. We'll study what it means that God rested, what that rest represents, and most importantly, how we can enter into that rest today!
