In 1949 there was a 14-year-old boy who, under the pseudonym Roland Doe, allegedly underwent over 30 exorcisms over the span of a month. A diary was kept and recorded each day of his horrific trials, and it was later used as the primary source for a “fictional” book. Within only 2 years that book was turned into the highest grossing horror film of all time, one many people try to forget but never can.
