In 1804 a group of Scottish immigrants settled in modern day Wallaceburg, forming The Baldoon Settlement. One of the young settlers eventually grew up, got married, and built a house on a coveted plot of land. In 1829 his family began experiencing a series of disturbances that lasted for years. Witnessed by many, and heavily documented, the legend of the Baldoon Mystery still lives on as a memorable and disturbing piece of Southwestern Ontario’s history.
