Gone in Minutes: The Maura Murray Mystery
- Morning of Feb 9, 2004: Maura emails professors about a “death in the family” (not true).
- Afternoon: Takes money out of ATM, buys alcohol, leaves campus.
- Evening: Car crashes on Route 112 in Haverhill, NH.
- Witnesses: A bus driver and a neighbor see her after the crash — shaken but alive. She says she’s already called AAA (unlikely, no cell service there).
- 7–10 minutes later: Police arrive. Car is locked, airbags deployed. Maura is gone.
- Aftermath: No footprints in the snow, no trail. Her family not contacted until the next day.
