Description

This week on The Running Mullet, we’re celebrating a truly memorable day on the trails.

PHUNT delivered everything trail runners love: snow falling steadily, crisp winter air, and a fast, relatively flat course at Fair Hill in Elkton, Maryland that kept things moving even as conditions shifted from frozen and slick to slushy .

We’re joined by Carre Zatwarnytsky, the first female finisher of the PHUNT 50K, one of 75 runners who completed the distance on a challenging but incredibly well-supported course.

With 494 finishers in the 25K, the energy on the trails was high all day long—and it showed in the smiles, the teamwork, and the way runners lifted each other up.

From top-notch volunteers and dialed-in aid stations to trail food that actually hits when you need it, PHUNT proved once again why it’s such a special race.

And shoutout to Grayce, who spent the day volunteering and helping make the magic happen.

Episode 150 is about community, winter trail running done right, and what makes a great race unforgettable.
