On this first episode of the IJK Podcast, I am joined by Anthony Assi to discuss the latest and future trends in Cloud Computing. Anthony works for Oracle as a Senior Principal Technical Advisor part of the engineering leadership team, providing engineering guidance in the fields of Cloud Infrastructure and Architectures, Datacenter, Cloud Migrations, Machine Learning, BigData and other areas.
Prior to joining Oracle, Anthony has worked for Google US in their cloud engineering team focusing on strategic accounts. Anthony is also a Senior Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he teaches about Big data and other Cloud Computing topics.
Anthony and I discussed a variety of topics in the field of Cloud Computing. We discussed among other topics the three main types of cloud services (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS), the benefits of using cloud services, concerns people often have about the cloud, the security of the cloud, current trends and future innovations in cloud computing, the intersection of AI and cloud services, career tips for those who wish to work in the cloud computing industry, and much more.
